Bible Study Topic: Are You a Lukewarm Christian?

Some lukewarm Christians don’t believe they are lukewarm. They defend themselves by saying, “You have no right to judge me, what makes you so righteous?” Normally, this type of behavior is displayed because they feel guilty, or they believe they are serving God. 
What is a lukewarm Christian? A lukewarm Christian is a person who is serving two masters. A lukewarm Christian is a person who is serving two masters. They have one foot at heaven’s door and the other foot at the gates of hell. How does God feel about lukewarm Christians? What did He say to the church of Laodicea about their lukewarm ways? Revelation 3:14-16 “To the angel of the church in Laodicea write: These are the words of the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the ruler of God’s creation. I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either one or the other! So, because you are lukewarm—neither hot nor cold—I am about to spit you out of my mouth.
Slightly warm Christians are selfish or confuse. They are selfish because they want to feed their flesh, or confused because they don’t understand. When you are lukewarm, you don’t take a stance for anything. Lukewarm Christians embrace the world by celebrating wordily rituals and cry God when things go against them. They believe, but they are not committed.
Lukewarm Christians battle spiritually when dealing with wordily entertainment, money, family, and political issues. When you are grounded in Christ and His Word you, don’t have to wonder you know what His answer is or where to look for the solution according to God’s will.  One misconception people make is “God has bless me with all my wordily possessions I must be doing something right.” Do you have these same thoughts?
